How to rent High Rock Rentals Log Cabin

Some travelers find the vacation home rental process confusing or scary, when with High Rock Rentals it is anything but! Here, we answer some of your most common questions and concerns about renting our log homes and the amenities you can expect every home to have.

First browse our cabins and narrow in on a home or two, then click BOOK NOW and send your request online OR call us anytime (954-258-4681), and we will help you with your selection. We’re happy to review availability, answer your questions and discuss the best options for your trip.
We’ll issue a quote and rental contract and ask for a 50% deposit to secure your vacation dates, since our homes work on a first-come, first-served basis.
At the time of booking 50% of your rental fee will be due for payment. You can pay by credit card or debit card online.
Thirty days prior to arrival, the balance of your rental will be due (full payment will be required at time of booking if your arrival date is within 29 days).
One week before your arrival, you’ll receive an email with detailed directions and your code to the lock box that holds your house key.
Once at your log home you will find detailed information about the cabin and surrounding property. Next enjoy your vacation!

Is there a minimum night stay?

Yes, minimum stays depend on the season. For example, in the shoulder season there is usually a minimum between 3-5 nights. During summer and fall minimums are more in the range of 5-7 nights. During peak holiday periods, minimums are 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday.

Do you offer discounted weekly rates?

All cabins are discounted when you book a full week rental. This discount will be reflected in your online quote.

Do you have any other discounts?

Ocassionally we have last minute availability and we offer a 20% Discount to for 3 night+ stays when book and check-in within 5 days.

Is there a security (damage) deposit?

Yes. A pre-authorization of USD 300.00 is held on 1 day(s) after arrival and voided on 7 day(s) after departure.

Is there a cleaning fee?

Yes, a cleaning fee of $200 to $275 is charged, based on the home size. You will arrive to find your home spotless and welcoming. A short list of check-out procedures will be left for you and our cleaning service will do the rest.

Is there an age reqirement for renting a cabin?

Yes, the minimum age to rent is 25.

Are the homes equipped with air-conditioning?

Yes, all of our homes have central air / heat.

Do all of the homes have fireplaces?

Yes, each rental is equipped with a fireplace, either a wood burning fireplace or stove. Please visit the appropriate home rental page for detailed information. Firewood is provided FREE OF CHARGE!

Do all the cabins have hot tubs?

Yes, all of our cabins have private hot tubs on your deck.

Is the photo in the links the exact home we would be staying in, along with the views, etc.?

Yes. All of our rentals have current pictures that represent that exact property.

How far is the creek? Walking distance?

The creek is for the enjoyment of all our guests and are right in your backyard. Creekside and Hideaway are right on the creek, and all the other homes are within walking distance, however you may also drive from your home.

Is there any nightlife? How far away?

Black Mountain and Asheville have a great selection of restaurants. shops and bars, you will find more information online at ExploreAsheville.com.

Who would be our contact for anything we may need while we are there?

There will be a property manager or owner very close by. High Rock Rentals contacts are provided to you when you travel.

Where is the closest grocery store?

Six miles from High Rock Rentals is the Ingles in Black Mountain. Order ahead for your arrival and pickup your groceries curbside before heading to your cabin. Create an account at shop.ingles-markets.com and choose Store #8 - Black Mountain. If you don't have one, enter Ingles Card number 478110491016 to receive store discounts.

Is the price of the unit per person?

No, all the vacation rental prices are for the entire party. Rates are per night or by the week.

How much privacy will we have around the property?

Our properties are secluded and private, offering 25 acres of national-park-like settings.

Is there Internet access?

All of our homes have Internet access; all are equipped with WIFI. Log-in information will be provided in each cabin.

Is there satellite TV?

Satellite TV and Smart TVs are available in all of our log homes.

Do I need 4-wheel drive?

All of our properties are easily accessible with any vehicle. High Rock Rental’s properties, like many in Western North Carolina requires driving on some windy and gravel roads. During winter, when ice or snowstorms may occur, 4-wheel-drive or tire chains will be necessary.
