From its handcrafted details (think aspen bed frames and rough-hewn log construction) to its secret outdoor spots (like a mountain-view fire pit and a private hot tub), every inch of Mitchell View will bring you a little bit of joy.

As you enter the cabin you will discover a fully equipped kitchen that has all that is needed to cook a family dinner, a dining table that sits eights and an open living room with beautiful views of the mountains and a large wood burning fireplace. The living room includes a comfortable leather sofa with reclining back, two upholstered chairs, and a 42” flat screen TV with DVD player and DirectTv Satellite service.

Also on the main floor is the master bedroom with king bed, dresser, 32" flat screen TV and french doors leading to your private area of the wrap around deck. Adjacent is a full bath with tub/shower combination and double vanity. Upstairs is the open loft which includes 2 twin trundle beds and TV.

Head down to the game room to watch the big game on Satellite or challenge someone to a bumper pool or air hockey showdown. For convenience there is a laundry room with a full size front-loading washer and dryer.

The two level deck features a five person hot tub, lounge chairs, deck rockers and a gas grill. When you’re ready to stretch your legs, bring the kids (and pup—this getaway is dog-friendly!) for a hike on the trails along Glade Creek. End your day of adventure with chit-chat around the campfire and under the stars.

As beautiful as this home is, it's just a prelude to the many gifts outside your door. Hiking trails, cascading creek and pond are just right outside your front door! Enjoy making smores at the outside bonfire pit ( free firewood is provided ) or catching tadpoles and salamanders in the creek, a short walk or drive from the home. Or simply sit back and watch the hummingbirds, woodpeckers, squirrel, rabbit, and deer - just some of the neighbors that may visit. In each and every season, Western North Carolina offers some of the best vacation possibilities. Spring hiking, summer trout fishing, fall foliage or winter skiing. Highrock Haven is centrally located so that you may enjoy local attractions like the popular Biltmore House - each of these with just a short drive.

Pet policy - Dogs welcome, $50 pet fee per dog over 15 lbs, 3 dog limit.

For your convenience we supply you with a limited starter kit of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent. There are several shops you can visit nearby to purchase supplies for the duration of your stay.

Due to the rural location of this property, cell phone reception may occasionally be spotty, Verizon is the best for connectivity. A landline is provided in the cabin.

4WD will be necessary in snowy/icy conditions.
